
Meet Our Artistic Director!
The Chorale has been very fortunate to have Pat Prentzel as our
director since 1998. A Pennsylvania native, she earned a M.Ed.
degree from Temple University. She was a music educator in the
public school system for twenty years.
Pat was a concert pianist and appeared with major
symphony orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra of
Washington, D.C. She is frequently requested to accompany
musical artists.
Pat is choir director and organist at Hope
Lutheran Church, Gulf Cove. She currently teaches private
voice and piano students.
As artistic director of the North Port Chorale,
Pat has responsibility for the selection and presentation of the
Chorale's music and auditions.
Meet Our
Chorale Accompanist
Michelle Kasanofsky moved to Florida from New
York in 1998. She is married to the handsome and talented
Neil, a financial consultant and a talented thespian in his own
right. Michelle is the fine Arts Program Planner, Choral
Director and Drama Coach at PCHS. She is also the stepmom to
Marisa, Eric and Jessie and the proud mama of Greg, who has recently
returned from serving our country in Iraq, Alyssa, who is an
engineering major at USF and Mikal, who attends Pine View School and
is a gifted pianist himself. Michelle has musically directed
in Florida at Venice, Charlotte Players and the Manatee Players.
She has accompanied such performers as The Irish Tenors and
Bernadette Peters and is looking forward to her work with the North
Port Chorale.
Meet Our Soundsations
Accompanist
Mary Jeanne Moorman was a soloist with the
Oklahoma City symphony, pianist for Oklahoma City Metropolitan
Ballet, Staff accompanist for Texas Woman's University and performed
at receptions for such celebrities as Phyllis Diller and Senator
John Tower.
Mary Jeanne and her husband, Steve, live in
Venice, where she is accompanist for Grace United Methodist Chancel
Choir, Venice's chorale, Exsultate and soprano Deborah Berioli,
founder of the Venice Performing Arts Series. |
