Meet Our Artistic Director!
The Chorale has been very fortunate to have Pat Prentzel as our director since 1998. She is also a music educator, concert pianist and soloist. A Pennsylvania native, she earned a M.Ed. degree from Temple University and taught public school music for 20 years. She was a featured performer with major symphony orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington, D.C. She is frequently requested to accompany internationally known singers in Venice. She works as music advisor to the North Port High School drama department and accompanies the high school choruses. She is past president of the Cecilian Music Society and an active member of the North Port Performing Arts Association Advisory Board, and has served as choir director and organist at Hope Lutheran Church, Gulf Cove. She gives voice and piano lessons privately. As artistic director, she has responsibility for the selection and presentation of the Chorale’s music and auditions. She has a leadership role on the Executive Board of the Chorale.

Meet Our Accompanist
Sharon Sutherland has been our accompanist for several years, and besides being a topnotch pianist, has the sunniest smile around. An Ohio native, she began studying piano at age four, most notably under jazz great Dave Wheeler. She toured with many groups, including the Paul Caldwell Singers – singing, playing a number of instruments and arranging. She has been a pianist and organist for many churches and teaches piano privately. A graduate of the Ohio State University, she was a labor relations and communications consultant prior to her retirement. |
