| DIRECTOR |
The Chorale is very fortunate to have Pat Prentzel, who has directed the Chorale since 1998. A Pennsylvania native, she earned a M.Ed. degree from Temple University and was a music educator in the public school system for twenty years.
Pat was a concert pianist and appeared with major symphony orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington, DC. She is frequently asked to accompany local musical artists. She is the choir director and organist at Hope Lutheran Church in Gulf Cove, FL. She currently teaches private voice and piano students.
As artistic director of the North Port Chorale, Pat has the responsibility for the selection and presentation of the Chorale's music and auditions. |

Dolores Smith attended Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam. Before moving to Florida, she taught private piano lessons and was an organist and choir director in Connecticut. She moved to Florida in 2004 and became a member of the Charlotte Chorale for five years, where she sang alto solos and served as president for the past three years. She also directs and accompanies the Sunshine Express, a group of summer residents of the PC Chorale who sing at various venues.
Additionally, Dolores is a member of the 2-piano group of Charlotte County, director of the chorus at Heritage Oak Park and of the Cherub Choir at First United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda. Dolores is the mother of two adults sons and grandmother of three and lives in Port Charlotte.
